Who we are
Dizzy Doolittles was founded by Liz an avid crafter, and Wendy her Mum and fellow craft fan. We are both disabled to varying degrees and with time on our hands we needed something to keep us busy, our minds sharp and our hands active. So Dizzy Doolittles was born in 2014. The name came partly from the location on Doolittle’s Campsite and from being called Lizzy by close friends and neighbours, so Dizzy Lizzy became Dizzy Doolittles.
We are based on the edge of the Somerset Levels in the beautiful and historic village of North Curry, which is mentioned in the doomsday book. Located on Doolittle’s Campsite (Camping and Caravan Club only) where our family has lived since 1884. Wendy’s husband John (Dad) is animal mad and has lots of sheep, ducks and chickens, not to mention Liz’s goats and the 6 dogs we share between us. So Wendy named the campsite Doolittle’s in John’s honour.
What we do
LIZ
I love many crafts including card making, decoupage, mixed media, sewing, stamping, die cutting and home décor projects. Recently I have started to focus on working with acrylic felt and I design all my own patterns to make the items unique.
WENDY
Loves card making and knitting. She is a big fan of Hunkydory card kits and loves to knit, especially toys and fingerless gloves.
